The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is carrying out enquiries into a break-in at a shop in London Road, Teynham, at around 5.00am on Saturday 30 December 2023. A vehicle was reversed into the premises and tills were stolen.
Officers are currently investigating whether the offence is linked to three other similar incidents.
One took place in Faversham Road, Seasalter, also on the morning of Saturday 30 December, with two others taking place in the early hours of Tuesday 2 January 2024 in Tyler Hill Road, Blean and Faversham Road, Lenham.
As part of the investigation, a warrant was carried out at a property in Faversham on the morning of Friday 5 January in which a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and other offences, and remains in custody while enquiries continue.
