A woman in her 50s is in a serious condition in a London hospital after a crash involving a black BMW 3 Series and a blue Ford EcoSport on the A228 near Pembury.
The collision occurred at around 7am today, Sunday 7 January 2024, between the junctions with Redwings Lane and Maidstone Road.
The driver of the BMW was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and later arrested in connection with the crash. Kent Police are investigating the incident and asking for witnesses, dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. They are especially keen to talk to the driver of a van who stopped at the scene and may have vital information.
