Four charged over knifepoint burglary and stabbing in Marden

Four people have been charged with aggravated burglary after a violent break-in at a flat in Marden, Kent, where a man was stabbed and a woman was assaulted.

The incident happened on Friday night, when a group of men allegedly forced their way into the property in The Cockpit and demanded money from the occupants. They fled with cash and bank cards, leaving behind a man with serious knife wounds to his arm and hand, and a woman with minor injuries.

Kent Police officers arrived at the scene and took the man to hospital. They also launched a search operation and arrested three suspects near Marden train station within an hour of the burglary. A fourth suspect was detained the next day.

The following charges have now been authorised as part of an investigation led by detectives from West Kent CID:

All four were remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 8 January.
