Kent Police have discovered and dismantled a massive cannabis cultivation site in an industrial estate in Dover.
The raid took place on Wednesday 3 January 2024, after officers received a tip-off that a large number of cannabis plants were growing inside a warehouse in Poulton Close.

The police also found items of makeshift electrical equipment that were disrupting the regular electrical installation in the building.
The scene was secured while experts made safe the electrical supply. The police removed around 800 cannabis plants from the warehouse and are investigating the origin and purpose of the illegal operation.
No arrests have been made so far and the police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Detective Constable Robert Rainbow, of East Kent CID, said:
‘Cannabis production sites such as this are set up to fuel the illegal activities of large, organised groups whose crimes have devastating effects that ripple out through communities.
‘I am pleased that our officers have shut down this cultivation and removed these illegal drugs from circulation, while we continue investigations to bring those involved to justice.’
