A fire appears to have been started after artwork and car were stolen in a Sevenoaks burglary.

The burglary happened between Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 January 2024, at an address in Kippington Road. The victim returned home to find a fire had been lit in one of the rooms which had gone out but left scorch marks on the walls.

It is reported that as well as the paintings and items of porcelain and jewellery, a black Saab estate was stolen from the driveway.

An investigation remains ongoing, and images have now been issued showing two of the stolen paintings. There are no photos of the third missing painting, which carries a picture of cows.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time and Kent Police is also urging anyone who may have been offered items such as those described as stolen to get in touch.

Anyone with information should call the west Kent appeal line on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/2704/24. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or by using the online form.
