Storm Isha heading for Kent – Batten down the hatches!

The latest winter storm to hit the UK is expected to bring very strong southwesterly winds to parts of Kent and Sussex on Monday morning, with gusts of 50-60 mph likely in many areas and 70 mph possible in some locations . Along exposed coastal stretches, winds may gust up to 80 mph at times.

According to the Met Office, Storm Isha is expected to ease on Monday and the winds will turn westerly around mid-morning.

Driving in these conditions can be dangerous for yourself and other road users so if you must drive, people are being warned to do so more safely by taking the following actions:
