Suspected Kent Fire Station burglar faces Crown Court

A suspect has appeared in court in connection with break-ins across Kent, including one at a fire station on the Isle of Sheppey while crew members were dealing with an incident.

A man aged 45, from Sittingbourne, was later charged by investigators from East Kent CID with two counts of burglary and one attempted burglary. He was also charged with receiving stolen goods and fraud by false representation.

The man appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 24 January. He was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 21 February.
