A violent and abusive man who caused disturbances at two Rochester bars has been immediately jailed.
On Tuesday 13 February 2024, Alfie Mack-Hudson went into a public house in the High Street and was offensive to one of the employees. He was asked to leave and while being escorted from the premises, assaulted a customer who was assisting the bar staff.
Mack-Hudson went to a second pub in the same road where he was abusive to one of the staff members and threatened her. The victim picked up a phone to call the police and Mack-Hudson knocked it out of her hand before leaving.
Patrols were called to the scene and officers quickly located the offender nearby. He became violent whilst being arrested and assaulted the two female constables while trying to bite them.
Mack-Hudson, from Greenhithe was later charged with two assaults, two assaults on emergency workers and a public order offence.
Exclusion order
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to all the indictments at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 15 February and was immediately jailed for 18 weeks.
Police Sergeant Paul Relf, of the Medway Victim Based Crime Team, said:
‘This type of obnoxious behaviour demands a robust response from the local police patrols. Hospitality staff working in the night-time economy should not have to suffer abuse and violence and I am pleased Mack-Hudson has been sent straight to jail. He will also be subject to an exclusion order from both public houses and will have to seek his refreshment elsewhere when he is eventually released.’
