Detectives investigating allegations a man was assaulted and pushed into a vehicle in Walderslade are seeking witnesses. It was reported that a man had been assaulted by three men in Robin Hood Lane before he was taken into a nearby white van at around 8.20pm on Tuesday 20 February 2024.

The suspects are alleged to have then got in the back of the vehicle before they were driven away by another man and passenger.

One suspect was believed to be wearing light coloured trousers, dark shoes and a jacket with a florescent stripe down the arms. The second suspect is described as wearing dark coloured trousers, with white trainers which had a florescent stripe. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket. The third suspect is described as wearing light-coloured trousers and a dark jacket which had a small florescent logo on the back of the jacket.

The driver of the van is said to have been wearing a long-sleeve top or jumper, possibly jeans and trainers. He is believed to have short, brown hair. The passenger is described as wearing a dark top with white trainers. He appeared to be holding an item which was flashing in his hand.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Pete Smith of North Kent’s CID said:

‘While we have not received a report of a person missing from this area these allegations are serious and we want to ensure we talk to those who may be involved.

‘The victim is believed to be white, aged 18 to 25 years old with short hair. He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

‘The vehicle they left in is described as a white Vauxhall Combo van which had sliding doors, black roofbars and silver alloys.

‘I’m keen to talk to anyone who saw anything suspicious in this area at this time, or it maybe they have seen the group at a later time with a man who appeared injured. We do not believe there is any risk to the wider public.’
