A man has been charged following a reported burglary in Broadstairs during the early hours of Wednesday 17 January 2024. It is alleged that a property on The Broadway was broken into and items were disturbed.
An attempted burglary was reported in West Dumpton Lane at around 2.30am on the same date. Officers had also received reports of a person having entered an address on Ramsgate Road, between 7.15pm on Tuesday 16 January and 8.00am on Wednesday 17 January, during which a man reportedly made an inappropriate comment to an occupant.
On 23rd February 2024, officers arrested a 28 year-old man, who was later charged with two counts of theft, attempted burglary and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence.
The man from west London, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 26 February and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be arranged.
