Kent Police detectives have charged two men and a teenager after a string of alleged burglaries across Kent, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

Properties across the three counties were reportedly targeted between Thursday 16 November 2023 and Wednesday 28 February 2024 and officers received reports that rural addresses in Tenterden and Romney Marsh had been broken into, as well as village properties near Ashford and Canterbury, with jewellery and cash taken.

An investigation by Kent Police’s Crime Squad led to the arrest on 28 February of man aged 23, from Dunmow in Essex; a 21-year-old man from Woodchurch and a teenage boy who cannot be named for legal reasons. All three were charged later that day with conspiracy to commit residential burglaries – relating to 16 alleged offences in Kent, one in Norfolk and one in Cambridgeshire. The two men were remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 2 April, with the teenage boy bailed to appear at the same hearing.
