Detectives investigating two serious assaults in Ramsgate have charged a man.

Police were called to Harbour Parade at around 1.45am on Sunday 28 January 2024, where they found two men with injuries consistent with stab wounds. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment to their injuries and have since been discharged.

An investigation by detectives from East Kent CID led to the arrest of a suspect on Friday 1 March. Later the same day, a Margate man was charged with two counts of wounding with intent. The 22-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 2 March.

A second man, a 32-year-old from Margate who was also arrested in connection with the incident on 28 January, has been bailed pending further investigation.
