Detectives are investigating a report that a 17-year-old boy was raped in the public toilets of Dane John Gardens by a man he had earlier spoken to in the park.

As part of the ongoing investigation, an e-fit image of the suspect, shown above, has now been released.
A report was later made to Kent Police and further enquiries have established that the incident took place between 5pm and 6pm on Monday 5 February 2024.
The suspect is described as white, around 6ft tall, in his late 30s and was wearing a dark hooded top and grey-blue jogging bottoms. Anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/22316/24.
