Patrols were called to a report of a disturbance in The Street, Boughton-under-Blean at 10.39pm on Wednesday 13 March 2024. Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and a man in his 30s was found with injuries consistent with a stabbing. He was confirmed deceased near the scene.
Three men, aged between 39 and 43, were arrested in connection with the incident and the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate started a murder investigation. Later the same day, two further men, aged 37 and 42, were detained at a property in the village and taken into custody. A third man, aged 33, was also arrested in Canterbury.
Police remain at the scene completing enquiries and talking to the local community. The Street remains closed in the centre of the village and residents will see additional patrols in the area. Detectives are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around that time, to contact Kent Police via the public portal here.
