Kent Police was called at around 4pm on Tuesday 23 April 2024 to a report of a fire at a property in Roosevelt Road, Dover.
Kent Police attended along with Kent Fire and Rescue Service, who extinguished the fire and evacuated occupants from the building. South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and a man was taken to hospital, from where he was later discharged.
On Wednesday 24 April, officers charged a man from of Roosevelt Road, with arson with intent to endanger life. The 59-year-old was remanded to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 25 April.
