Two men have been charged with offences following reports of a serious assault at a property in Meopham village at around 8.50pm on Wednesday 24 April 2024.

Kent Police was contacted after a man suffered injuries and officers subsequently pursued a vehicle with the assistance of a police helicopter. Two men were later arrested in Erskine Road, Gravesend. Patrols also seized quantities of cocaine and cannabis.

A man aged 30, from Gravesend, and a 26-year-old man from Brenchley, Tonbridge, were both charged by investigators from north Kent CID with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They have also been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. The younger man has been additionally charged with dangerous driving.

Both men appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 26 April where they were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 27 May.
