Kent Police officers from the County Lines and Gangs Team carried out an unannounced search of a property in Copinger Close, Canterbury on Thursday 6 July 2023 and seized quantities of crack cocaine and heroin in addition to £995 cash.
A 42-year-old woman from Canterbury and a woman aged 19 from Stratford, east London, were arrested and later bailed pending further enquiries. They have since both been charged with four counts each of offences relating to the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
The 19-year-old has also been charged with possessing criminal property (the seized cash) and the woman from Canterbury has been charged with allowing her home to be used for the purpose of supplying class A drugs.
Both women have been bailed to attend Margate Magistrates’ Court on Friday 12 July 2024.
