A Faversham shoplifter who allegedly robbed the same shop multiple times has been tracked down and charged.
Between Monday 8 April and Thursday 30 May 2024, a man went to the Co-op in Forbes Road and stole meat and cheese products by concealing them under his clothing or inside a rucksack. The items were valued at more than £250 and the incidents were investigated by local beat officers.
Following an examination of CCTV footage at the premises, he was identified and arrested on Thursday 30 May at an address near the town centre and was later charged by investigators from the Swale Victim Based Crime Team, with four counts of theft and four breaches of a criminal behaviour order.
The 23-year-old was remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 31 May, where he pleaded guilty to all the charges. The 23-year-old was conditionally bailed to the same court on Thursday 13 June.
