A suspect is to appear at Canterbury Crown Court next month charged in connection with a robbery in Folkestone.

It was reported to have taken place at a property in Brockman Road in the town during the early hours of Tuesday 4 June 2024 when a man was allegedly threatened by a person who was known to him. The victim had his bank card stolen during the incident. 

Following an investigation by East Kent CID, one charge of robbery was authorised against a man of no fixed address on Tuesday 4 June. The 38-year-old appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court the following day and was remanded in custody. The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 8 July.
