Witnesses are being urged to come forward after two men were injured during a disturbance in Folkestone.

Kent Police was called at 7.15pm on Sunday 23 June 2024 to a report of an altercation in Harbour Street that also involved two women. Police arrived at the scene and the men, aged 42 and 31, were given first aid at the scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Those involved in the incident are all believed to be known to each other and pieces of wood were reported to have been used. Both men were arrested on suspicion of assault along with one of the women, aged 42. They remain in custody as enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
