On 11 June and 19 June 2024, it is alleged a man was seen dealing drugs to a local known user in an underpass near Medway Street, Maidstone.

Less than a week later, officers saw a suspect matching the description near Pudding Lane and arrested him on suspicion of drugs-related offences.

Subsequent searches led to the arrest of a second man and the seizure of numerous bags of cocaine, 29 bags of cannabis, a quantity of cash, and two mobile phones. The men, both aged 25 and from the town, have since been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, and possession of criminal property.

They pleaded guilty to the charges relating to possession at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 26 June and have been remanded in custody, pending a further hearing at the same court on 22 July.
