Suspected cocaine has been seized and a man arrested following work by patrols from Ashford’s Neighbourhood Task Force.

Plain clothes officers in an unmarked car pulled over a moped rider seen acting suspiciously on Monday 1 July 2024 in the Stanhope area. A number of wraps of suspected cocaine were seized from the vehicle and a 32-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

The man has been released pending further enquiries and an investigation by Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team is ongoing. Anyone who suspects drugs are being sold or produced in their area is urged to report it through the Kent Police website or call 999 if a crime is in progress.
