Detectives from the Kent Crime Squad have been carrying out enquiries into two burglaries in the Cherry Garden Avenue area of the town in which jewellery and designer items were stolen on Tuesday 30 April and Friday 17 May 2024.

Enquiries led to three people arrested in west London on Thursday 27 June.

Two men aged 44 and 37 both of White Hart Lane, north London, have since been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of possession of items for use in burglary. Both men appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 2 July and were remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 5 August.

A 31-year-old from north London, is also charged with two counts of burglary and is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 5 August.
