Gravesend police have seized two motorbikes after responding to reports that the vehicles were being driven dangerously around the town.

On 4 August officers were on foot patrol when at 2.45pm they were made aware of an off-road bike near Ordnance Road. The vehicle was reported to have been driven in a nearby park near members of the public. Police swiftly located and seized the bike and the rider was detained.

Previously at 10.29am on 30 July Kent Police received a report that an off-road bike was being driven through the town centre dangerously. The rider was alleged to have been driving along pedestrian routes and narrowly missed members of the public along New Road and Stone Street.

Local officers arrived on the scene and through enquiries and CCTV, managed to locate and seize the bike abandoned in Lawrence Square, Northfleet. A 14-year-old boy from Northfleet and an 18-year-old man from Gravesend, have both been reported for traffic offences are currently under investigation.
