Police have reported a suspect has appeared in court charged with carrying out a serious assault in Underhill Road, Folkestone.
The victim was found with facial injuries at around 10.30am on Saturday 10 August 2024 from where she was taken to a local hospital. She has since been discharged.
A man, who is known to the victim, was arrested shortly after the incident and is being held in custody.
A man from Hythe, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and breaching a restraining order.
The 26-year-old appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday 12 August and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 9 September.
