Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a disturbance in Swanscombe that resulted in multiple arrests. The incident happened in London Road at around 1.30pm on Wednesday 14 August 2024.

Patrols arrived at the scene where a man was treated for serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. A second man was taken to a local hospital for injuries consistent with a stab wound and has since been discharged.

Officers recovered a machete at the scene.

Two men, aged 19 and 23, and a woman, aged 18, were arrested on suspicion of assault. A third man, aged 23, was also detained for assault on the following day. The 19-year-old man and the 18-year-old woman have since been bailed to return to the police station pending further investigation.  The two other men remain in police custody.
