A murder suspect has appeared in court after a woman was killed in Dartford.
A man from Dartford, appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday 19 August 2024 having been charged with the murder of 39-year-old Nina Denisova. The 20-year-old was also charged with committing a sexual offence against a deceased female.
The charges were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service after Kent Police was called at 6.50am on Saturday 17 August following concern for a person at a property in Henderson Drive.
Officers attended with colleagues from the South East Coast Ambulance Service, where Miss Denisova was found with injuries consistent with a stabbing. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed and a report has been prepared for the coroner.
Following his court appearance, the accused was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 21 August.
The suspect and victim were known to each other but were not related.
