Two suspects have been charged in connection with a series of more than a dozen shoplifting offences in Tunbridge Wells.
It is alleged that over the space of a few weeks, the man and woman repeatedly targeted a Marks and Spencer store at a service station in St John’s Road. The thefts are reported to have taken place between 29 July and 18 August 2024, when goods totalling hundreds of pounds were stolen including groceries, alcohol and car products.
A man aged 31 and from the town was arrested on 19 August and charged with three shoplifting offences. A woman, also from Tunbridge Wells was arrested on the same day and she was charged with a further 11 thefts. Both were remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 20 August.
