Witnesses are being sought following a report of a robbery at La Belle Alliance Square in Ramsgate.
Kent Police was contacted at 11.45pm on Sunday 18 August 2024 with report from a third-party that a man had been assaulted by two other men in La Belle Alliance Square and had his backpack stolen.
Officers arrived at the scene and a 55-year-old man who was nearby was arrested on suspicion of robbery but he has since been released. The victim of the reported offence was not at the scene and has not come forward since the incident.
Investigating detectives are urging the victim or any witnesses who have yet to speak to police to get in touch.
