A Swale resident has been jailed after he admitted attempting to damage windows at a Kent police station.

Joseph Clarke was sentenced to 10 weeks in prison after he threw a rock towards the premises in Central Avenue, Sittingbourne.

The incident happened on Friday 6 September 2024 and he was arrested shortly afterwards.

Clarke, from Sittingbourne, was charged with attempted criminal damage along with breaching a conditional discharge. The latter related to a similar incident on Saturday 17 August when he damaged a window at the same location.

The 51-year-old was sentenced following a hearing at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 September.
