A significant quantity of cigarettes has been recovered by Kent Police following the arrest of a suspected burglar in Sellindge, near Ashford.

Kent Police responded to a break-in at the Co-Op store on Main Road at 12:52 AM on Monday, September 23, 2024. Upon arrival, officers made enquiries at the scene and shortly after arrested a man nearby on suspicion of burglary.

A holdall containing several packets of cigarettes, other tobacco products, and alcohol was seized. The suspect remains in custody as further enquiries are conducted.
