In a dramatic midnight bust, Ramsgate police nabbed a van loaded with cannabis plants.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, when a routine patrol on Hollicondane Road flagged down a suspicious vehicle.
Upon questioning the driver, officers grew wary of his evasive answers and conducted a thorough search of the van which revealed boxes and bags filled with soil, growing equipment, and a stash of cannabis plants.
The driver, a 26-year-old man from Birmingham, was promptly arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
