Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a reported rape inside a Tesco supermarket toilet cubicle in Sheerness on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The incident occurred between 1:37 PM and 2:19 PM in the ladies’ public toilets at the Tesco on Bridge Road. The victim reported being followed into the toilet by a man who then sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as an Eastern European male, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, around 30 years old, and wearing a blue tracksuit.
Detective Inspector Samantha Stuart, leading the investigation, said,
“From our initial enquiries and CCTV review, we know several people entered the toilet area during this time, including a woman who assisted the victim. We urge anyone who was in the supermarket and used the toilets between 1:37 PM and 2:30 PM to come forward.”
