A suspect has pleaded guilty at court to multiple traffic offences following a pursuit in Faversham. At around 10.15am on Monday 23 September 2024, a Kent Police motorcyclist requested the driver of a flat-bed truck to stop as it travelled along the A2 London Road.
The vehicle did not stop, and whilst it was being pursued, two police vehicles were damaged after the truck reversed into them. An officer suffered a cut and bruising during one of the collisions. The flat-bed vehicle was located unattended in Athelstan Road at around 11.20am and the driver, Frazer Higgins, was located nearby and arrested.
On Tuesday 1 October, Higgins from Margate, returned on bail and was charged with two counts of dangerous driving, two counts of driving whilst disqualified, two counts of no insurance and fraudulently using a registration mark. The 31-year-old pleaded guilty at Medway Magistrates’ Court on the following day. He was remanded to be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
