Two arrested in West Kent car theft spree

Patrols near Bluewater and Sevenoaks have arrested two suspects linked to multiple car thefts across west Kent. One incident involved the theft of a Bentley Bentayga, stolen from a driveway near Snodland around 2:30am on October 2, 2024.

The vehicle was tracked and stopped within 30 minutes on Darenth Wood Road, leading to the arrest of a 54-year-old man from east London. Suspected signal jamming devices were found in the car. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The previous evening, a 34-year-old man from Sevenoaks was arrested after officers stopped a suspicious Ford Transit on Lea Road. A search revealed a door opening device, vehicle keys, ignition parts, over £400 in cash, and a slingshot. He faces charges of going equipped to steal and drug driving offences and has also been released on bail.
