Drivers report attacks by masked men who stole their cars near Dartford Heath

On the evening of September 4, 2024, a motorist was allegedly attacked by a group of men wearing face masks who smashed his car window and assaulted him, before stealing his vehicle at Dartford Heath. Two people have since been charged following the reports of the incident.

 A second victim was reportedly assaulted by men wearing face coverings, with his car also being stolen at Rochester Way on Sunday 8 September. A bank card that had been in the vehicle was later allegedly used to make a fraudulent purchase in an Orpington shop.

Detectives arrested two suspects on October 3, 2024. Both were remanded in custody and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on October 4. A third suspect, previously arrested, remains in custody pending a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on October 11.
