15-year-old charged with multiple robberies in Gillingham

A 15-year-old boy from Chatham has been charged with multiple robberies in Gillingham and appeared in court on Thursday, 10 October 2024.

On 2 August 2024, two teenagers reported being threatened in Wood Street, resulting in the theft of a mobile phone. In another incident on 6 October, a boy’s e-scooter was allegedly taken after threats in Canterbury Street.

Following an investigation, the suspect was arrested on 8 October and charged with two counts of robbery and one attempted robbery.

He was bailed and is set to reappear in Medway Magistrates’ Youth Court on 31 October.
