Four teenagers face charges following an altercation in Deal town centre on 9 April 2024. Officers responded to reports of a group of teenagers and adults involved in an altercation on High Street around 4:30 PM, which resulted in two men and a teenage boy being assaulted.
Two teenagers were arrested at the scene, with two more arrested the following day.
On 9 October, charges were brought against the suspects:
- A 16-year-old boy faces charges of affray, common assault, and possession of a class B drug;
- A 17-year-old girl is charged with affray, assault on an emergency worker, and common assault;
- Two boys, aged 14 and 15, are charged with affray.
The teenagers are set to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 10 December 2024.
