A man has been charged with 15 offences, including fuel theft, after allegedly targeting seven petrol stations across north and west Kent.

Between July 24 and October 3, 2024, Kent Police received reports of a series of fuel thefts from garages in Aylesford, Ditton, Maidstone, Sheerness, Staplehurst, and Tonbridge.

Following a brief pursuit on October 4, a 46-year old Maidstone man was arrested and charged with theft, possession of a bladed article, going equipped to steal, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.  

He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on October 7 and has been remanded in custody pending a further hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on November 4.
