Kent Police was called at 11.08am today, Tuesday 22 October, to a report of a body being found near Knight Road, Strood. Officers, South East Coast Ambulance Service, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and H.M. Coastguard attended the scene where a man was confirmed deceased.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of a 25 year old man who was reported missing in the area since Friday 18 October, have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
