A suspected burglar has been charged following a report a home was targeted in Maidstone town centre. Kent Police was called to the incident near Mill Street just before 3.30am on Thursday 10 October 2024.
It is alleged a set of keys, cigarettes and cash were stolen by an intruder who fled after being disturbed by one of the residents. On the following day, a suspect was arrested and taken into custody. A 57-year-old suspect from the town was later charged with burglary. He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 14 October and has been remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 11 November.
