Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault at the Hop Pole Inn near Nettlestead on Sunday, October 13th in which several people sustained injuries, including stab wounds, during the incident.

To date four people have been arrested in connection with the attack, but police believe there may be more individuals involved.

Detective Constable Alex Bagnall said: ‘There were around 60 people in the pub who would have witnessed this large-scale disturbance, between 12.30am and 1.20am. The violence has led to some appalling knife wounds, and it is only by chance there were no fatal consequences.

‘We are continuing to urge anyone with information to come forward and would remind witnesses that this can be done anonymously, by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or by completing a form on their website.’

You can also call Kent Police on 01622 604100 quoting reference 46/173496/24. The suspects – three men aged 36, 40 and 42, and a 17-year-old boy – are currently bailed pending further enquires.
