A suspect has been charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries after a series of thefts occurred earlier this year in several villages within west Kent.

According to investigators, properties in Penshurst, Otford, Knockholt, and Chipstead were targeted on March 1st, 2024. Following reports of stolen jewellery and computer equipment, detectives launched an investigation into the incidents.

On Friday, October 25th, authorities stopped a man at Heathrow Airport.

The man aged 46, and of no fixed address, was subsequently charged with conspiracy to commit burglaries. He also faces charges related to a separate burglary in Bristol, Somerset. The man is currently remanded in custody and was due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on October 28th.
