Two suspected drug dealers have been charged with multiple offences following work by police in Canterbury in which officers stopped a car in Kingsmead Road on the evening of Monday 28 October 2024 after spotting suspicious activity in the area. A man and a woman were both arrested and suspected cocaine was seized. A search was later carried out at a property in Sturry, which led to the seizure of more than £3,000 in cash.

Following an investigation, both of those arrested have now been charged. A man aged 27, has been charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply, as well as being concerned in the supply of both drugs. He is also charged with possession of a knife, possession of criminal property, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

A 22-year-old woman, is charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.

The man from Sturry, appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 30 October and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday 2 December. Meanwhile the woman, who is from Sturry, was bailed to appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 28 November.
