Community workers and volunteers helping residents across the district will be brought together under one roof at a special event in Folkestone later this month (November 2024). The Winter Well event is on Wednesday 27 November at South Kent Community Church in Folkestone (CT20 2QR) from 10am until 1pm.

It is this year’s fifth “wellness” event organised by Folkestone & Hythe District Council and aims to make it easier for residents to seek help and support from agencies including the Rainbow Centre, the Folkestone & Hythe Community Safety Partnership, Urban Pastors and Kent County Council.

Cllr Mike Blakemore, F&HDC Cabinet Member for Community and Collaboration, said:

“We’re pleased to be able to put on another wellness event. The series has been well supported and offered a range of advice about welfare, mental health, housing and safety to mention just a few of the areas covered.

“No appointments are necessary, just pop in and speak with those there to see what support is available.”
