Cocaine deals and knives have been seized by patrols responding to a violent incident at a property in Chatham at around 10am on Monday 4 November 2024, when a man alleged he had been assaulted with a knife at the premises near the High Street.
The victim suffered a small facial cut during the incident and constables detained a suspect later the same morning. It is reported two officers were assaulted during the arrest. Three knives and around 50 deals of cocaine were also seized.
A man from Chatham, was later charged with aggravated burglary, wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
The 20-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 6 November.
