Suspected cocaine dealer charged over offences in Tunbridge Wells

Kent Police have charged a suspected cocaine dealer with offences in Tunbridge Wells, as part of an ongoing crackdown on drugs-related crime in west Kent.

Proactive patrols in London Road, Southborough, spotted a vehicle suspected to be involved in the supply of drugs on Sunday 17 November 2024. Officers followed the car into Holden Park Road, where it stopped, and the driver was detained. A later search led to the seizure of 18 bags of white powder believed to be cocaine, a quantity of cash, and a mobile phone.

A suspect from Dagenham, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.

A 27-year-old man appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 19 November and remanded in custody pending a further hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 16 December.
