On Monday, December 9th, 2024, Kent Police officers intercepted a package addressed to a local resident which was believed to contain cannabis.
Subsequently, a 61-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of unlawful importation of Class B drugs and cannabis cultivation. A search of their property yielded several young cannabis plants.
A further search of a nearby vehicle led to the seizure of three blocks of suspected cannabis resin. A 31-year-old woman connected to the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of drug supply. All three suspects have been released on bail pending further investigation.
