Five fire engines and a height vehicle rushed to a blaze reported in Whitstable at 7:33 AM this morning, 18 December.

Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used main jets and hose reel jets to bring the blaze under control. Kent Fire and Rescue’s volunteer response team was also on hand to assist residents and support firefighting efforts. One person was treated by South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, though it is believed to be accidental.
