Five men have been arrested following a serious assault in Minster-on-Sea, Isle of Sheppey.

The incident occurred late Friday night, around 11:50 PM, at the junction of Minster Road and Sunnyside Avenue. A man in his 20s was found unconscious after a confrontation with another group of men, who allegedly used baseball bats. The victim was rushed to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Kent Police have apprehended five suspects, aged between 18 and 42, all from the local area.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They are particularly interested in any information about an earlier fracas between the two groups inside The Highlander pub in Minster High Street, which reportedly took place between 9:30 PM and 11:30 PM.
